The Lush Freshers pack - customised

I went into Leeds earlier today- firstly- how much does it suddenly feel like winter?! The air is so crisp. It was actually my favourite kind of autumn/winter weather- clear, sunny and really fresh.

I have bought a few things which I will post about soon but I wanted to do a whole post dedicated to the Lush Freshers pack. There are three different boxes that you can choose from (The De-Stresser, The Big Night Out and The Morning After The Night Before) which include 8 products for £10. You can also create your own customised pack which is what I went for, with a little advice from the Lush girls.

Here are the contents:

You could choose two 50g soaps (I think it was 50g...). I went for my favourite which is Rock Star, and also chose the infamous Honey I Washed the Kids. I haven't tried this before but it smells delicious- and not overly 'honey'.

I liked the idea of these packs as there are a few bits in it that I wouldn't usually buy myself. I haven't tried the toner tabs before but I really like the sound of them. I was given a full demonstration and all you do is dissolve the tab into a sink, or bowl full of hot water, and then hold your face in the steam for a few minutes (with a towel over your head to keep it all in)- all of the goodness will absorb into your skin. Apparently it's good to use the toner tab before using the face mask- and you can also use the water to remove the face mask with.

The Oatifix face mask was recommended for my combination skin. It is described as 'skin porridge' and is full of oats, organic bananas, sandalwood oil and ground almonds. It is currently being chilled in my fridge so I'm having to warn the boyfriend off of eating it! I will be removing this mask with a muslin cloth for extra exfoliation.

Be warned- these sugar scrubs get sugar everywhere! I took it out to photograph and a shower of sugar fell of. This is great for exfoliating and has ginger and fennel in it. I would recommend either using it in one go, or keeping it away from the shower. The last one that I used ended up collapsing by the side of the bath as it had been hit by the water from the shower!

Again, this is a Lush product that I wouldn't have considered buying before. This is the Jumping Juniper solid shampoo which is for oily hair and is a mix of lavender, juniperberries, lemon and lime. I had to ask how you use these but it seems very simple- just lather it in your hands like a bar of soap and massage into your hair. I was told that these last forever. I will let you know how I get on with it!

I decided to go for the Skin Drink moisturiser which is a rich moisturiser. I think I will apply this solely to my cheeks though as I'm not sure how my t-zone would react to all of the extra moisture. It's a really funny colour but it looks like a lovely treat and is full of shea butter, cocoa, sesame and other such oils!
